Become A Foster Home

• Provide shelter, love, stability (and sometimes training), to a homeless cat or dog, until a permanent home can be found.
• NOAWS will cover all medical costs for foster animals, including spay/neuter and vaccinations.
• When funding permits, NOAWS will provide food and supplies to foster homes.
• Fostering a homeless pet is a great opportunity to see if a pet will fit into your lifestyle, before making the commitment of adopting.

	Become A Volunteer

Come out to one of our meetings and see if any of the following "committees" interests you :

• Fostering and Adoptions - Help coordinate foster homes and adoption placements, visit homes and interview perspective adoptive families, help place homeless animals into foster homes or permanent ones!
• Fundraising - Help us raise the funds needed to provide medical care and support for foster homes and the "Prevent a Litter" program, as well as many other programs.
• Public Relations/Research/Education - Advertising for prospective adoptive owners, taking photos of pets available for adoption, public appearances in schools, etc...., newsletter editing, distribution etc...
• Just Plain "HELPING OUT" - At fund-raisers, pick up and delivery of pets (FIELD WORK!), feeding feral cats, building shelters for strays...

If you'd like to help with a homeless pet, but are unable to provide "Foster Care" in your home, why not "SPONSOR a PET" ?!
Sponsor a pet financially - by giving a regular monthly, tax deductible donation towards the care of the pet of your choice, you can help fund it's veterinary costs, food and supplies. We'll keep you posted on how your pet is doing, and will let you know when it has been adopted !!
Sponsor a pet with time - by spending much needed, valuable time with your "Sponsored Pet" to help socialize and train it, walk the dogs, play with the kitties, help with their care by visiting the foster home !!

There are MANY ways in which you can help The Northern Ontario Animal Welfare Society financially and most are tax deductible :

• Sponsor a pet with your monthly donation
• Donate your change to our coin boxes, found in businesses throughout the community
• Give an "In Memorium Donation" - in memory of a dear friend or pet lover
• Give a donation in the name of your friend, as a gift or special occasions
• Donate MUCH NEEDED SUPPLIES, such as blankets, dog houses, litter boxes, FOOD, leashes and collars, laundry detergent, kitty litter, toys...etc
